My son starting at 12 years old worked with Andreas at goalie. My son was a little quiet, lacked some confidence, but I saw some talent in him. Andreas has done wonders with him. Not only are his hands excellent now but I can see a confident kid who can boot goalkicks and punts, make beautiful throws and has immediately become a vocal leader of both of his teams, one of which is made up of all area academy players. I always joke Andreas is the goalkeeper whisperer but he really is.
Furthermore, Andreas is a great guy, who always makes sure my son is happy, not burnt out and wants to play soccer at a high level. He has talked him through some adversity on the field and I'm sure they just talk about life in general too. You don't know how happy I am to have found Andreas. I highly recommend him to everyone.
Andreas is also very honest. He doesn't put up with bs from parents or the kids. I leave my son with him for the allocated time period and come back knowing my son will be so happy and have learned so much, and improved so much. I wish I could take him to Andreas 3 times a week, but my son has also taken up football as an 8th grader at his high school. Instead of hearing it was a big mistake, Andreas told us it was fine, there are alot of good qualities in football that will help with soccer and that he in fact played football himself for a little while.
Again I give the highest recommendation for Andreas and his staff at Nex Gen. A bonus is Mikey got a beautiful shirt from next gen that breathes so well, he would wear to all his soccer and football practices if possible. I am open to talking or emailing anybody about my experiences with Andreas and Next Gen, we are eternally grateful.
