Maxwell Johnson
Basketball Coach

Maxwell committed to and is currently playing college basketball at Hiram College, in Ohio.

Maxwell was born in Connecticut but raised in Northern Virginia and played county basketball for Vienna from 5th-8th Grade. He went on to play three years of Varsity basketball for the James Madison Warhawks and found success as he won the District and Regional championships. He was also a part of the first Madison Basketball team to qualify for the State championship tournament. After his high school career, he decided to take a preparatory year at Rocktop Academy in Philadelphia where he traveled across the country playing against some of the best talent in the country such as NBA players Kenyon Martin Jr, Scottie Barnes, and Cade Cunningham. Performing well against great competition, he piqued the interest of many schools and was offered a spot on over 10 Collegiate level rosters all over the country. He accepted an offer from Hiram College in Northeastern Ohio and has played in 49 of the 55 games since attending. Entering his Senior year he has big aspirations as a 2nd year captain of the team and looks forward to being able to give back to the youth. His experience with all levels of competition will help him personalize his training sessions to the needs of each athlete.

“Looking back on my high school and preparatory years, I wish I could have had a mentor to help guide me through the recruiting process and I know I can be that for kids in the DMV. I know how much it could help and want nothing more to give back to the youth in the area that helped me become the basketball player I am today. I’m looking forward to helping you or your children realize their potential and guide them through this fun time in their lives.
